SUWANEE, Ga. -- ARRIS (Nasdaq: ARRS) today announced that Cablenet Communication Systems Ltd. has deployed a number of C4 CMTS chassis in Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca, three of the major cities of Cyprus. The C4's were purchased from ARRIS Value-Added Reseller (VAR) B.A.S.E. Technologies.

Over the past few years, Cablenet Communication Systems, a strategic partner to the Electricity Authority of Cyprus, has offered video services over cable throughout the island. It recently decided to invest in the network infrastructure necessary to enhance that offering and provide triple play service, utilizing the ARRIS C4 CMTS, Touchstone® 502B Embedded Multimedia Terminal Adapters (E-MTAs) and Touchstone Wireless E-MTA WTM552Bs. The nationwide high-speed Internet service is transported across Cablenet's fiber backbone serving the island's three major cities.

Cablenet plans on passing over 60,000 homes this year with another 60,000 homes planned for 2008.
