Swiss cable operator Cablecom forms mobile telephony partnership with sunrise to offer quadruple-play services

ZURICH -- Cablecom and sunrise announced their cooperationtoday in the area of mobile telephony. This makes cablecom the first largetelecommunications provider in Switzerland to offer television, Internet, fixed networkand mobile telephony from a single source. To inaugurate this cooperation, cablecomis launching a prepaid product today.
Cablecom, Switzerland’s largest cable network operator, has concluded a partnership withsunrise for mobile telephony. As the first move of the new partnership, the company islaunching its own prepaid product on the Swiss market today. This makes cablecom the firsttelecommunications provider in Switzerland to offer television, Internet, fixed network andmobile telephony – also known as “quadruple play” – from a single source. Additional mobilephone services «powered by sunrise», including postpaid subscriptions and special packagesfor business customers, will be launched before the end of the first half of 2006.

This means that, in the future, cablecom customers will be able to receive all of theircommunications solutions from a single provider.
