Combine Broadsoft's BroadWorks VOIP application suite with Datatrend's IBM-based infrastructure

GAITHERSBURG, Md. and MINNEAPOLIS -- BroadSoft, Inc., a leading provider of VoIP application software, and Datatrend Technologies, Inc., a leading infrastructure solutions provider, today announced a partnership to deliver a comprehensive VoIP solution for telecommunications and multimedia service providers.
The solution, which is now generally available, combines the BroadWorks(R) VoIP application suite from BroadSoft with a turnkey infrastructure solution (based on IBM eServer BladeCenter and xSeries systems running the Linux operating system) from Datatrend.
The BroadWorks VoIP application platform provides a comprehensive range of advanced applications, including hosted PBX, IP Centrex, mobile PBX, business trunking and residential broadband services fully integrated into a single VoIP application platform. BroadWorks is uniquely capable of providing these applications with the reliability, redundancy, scalability and regulatory capabilities required to deliver carrier-class service.
The infrastructure platform is an open, scalable, industry-standard platform designed for carrier-grade applications, and is crisply bundled and configured specifically for the BroadWorks application suite. Its price/performance leadership meets the needs of service providers deploying VoIP solutions to help reduce costs and accelerate the development of new potentially revenue-generating applications. The infrastructure solution is available for the IBM eServer BladeCenter and BladeCenter T (NEBS compliant) family of products as well as selected xSeries Telecommunications servers, including the x336.
The Datatrend infrastructure services include infrastructure design and configuration, quality-assured integration and staging, site installation/implementation, and ongoing support services. These offerings are designed to provide for a worry-free infrastructure solution deployment. The Datatrend Technology Solution Center is also available to assist clients with demonstrations, testing, and benchmarks.
The combination of the BroadWorks VoIP application software, the IBM infrastructure platform, and the Datatrend infrastructure services provides clients a total solution that is fully tested and supported, and enables these clients to serve their customers better than ever and position their network for the next generation of innovations.
As part of the agreement, BroadSoft and Datatrend will also work together on sales, marketing, solution development, and other business development initiatives.
