Convergys and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young deploy new billing solution for Bouygues Telecom

CAMBRIDGE, U.K. -- Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), the global leader in integrated billing, employee care, and customer care services, and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, one of the largest management and IT consulting firms in the world, today announced they are providing French mobile operator Bouygues Telecom, with a new billing solution. The new system, which incorporates Convergys’ Geneva™ software, will support Bouygues' existing GSM business and underpin the rollout of new services. Subscriber records will be migrated to Geneva from the legacy system.Telecom Media Networks, an industry practice of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, and Convergys are working together to implement and launch Bouygues Telecom's new billing infrastructure. On the advice of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, Bouygues Telecom chose a solution specially configured in terms of business processes and IT architecture for the French market . Geneva’s open architecture facilitates seamless integration with other OSS products.Geneva is a real-time, transaction-based, best-of-breed rating and billing module offering the performance required by major carriers handling large volumes of data.
