AT&T Wins DOD Contract
AT&T Government Solutions awarded $250M for Department of Defense networking contract

VIENNA, Va. -- AT&T Government Solutions, a business unit of AT&T Inc., has been awarded the Joint Hawaii Information Transfer System (JHITS) contract by the Defense Information Technology Contracting Office (DITCO) - Pacific. DITCO-Pacific is a part of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), a division of the Department of Defense (DoD), which oversees the Department of Defense's networking needs. The JHITS contract has an estimated contract value of $250 million. Under the terms of the agreement, AT&T will provide customized telecommunications and data services to the Hawaii-based military departments. The AT&T Government Solutions Hawaii team is based in Honolulu.

"The Defense Information Systems Agency is a combat support agency responsible for planning, engineering, acquiring, fielding and supporting global net-centric solutions to serve the nation's warfighters and all of those who support them in the defense of the nation. JHITS is a six-year contract with four one-year options.
