Aruba wins editor’s choice Lab Recommended award in wireless LAN switch testing conducted by 01 Réseaux Magazine

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Aruba Wireless Networks (Aruba) today announced that itwas awarded the editor’s choice “Lab Recommended” award in the first comprehensive Europeanwireless LAN (WLAN) switch testing.

Conducted by 01 Réseaux Magazine, one the Europe’s leading and most prestigious networkpublications, Aruba’s WLAN system was identified as having “the most comprehensive combinationof radio/network management and security” of any other WLAN switching system.

The tests included two systems from each vendor to validate redundancy and high availability. TheAruba system, which included Aruba 2400 WLAN switches and Aruba 60/61 802.11a/b/g accesspoints, was awarded the highest overall score by testers over competitive offerings manufactured byAirespace, Symbol and Trapeze. Cisco declined to participate in the testing.

According to the independent testing, “Aruba’s solution stands out because of its security features(integrated stateful firewall and intrusion detection systems). Aruba was able to detect an externalattack generated by NetStumbler, and any forbidden activity, during our test.”
