SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Aruba Wireless Networks(TM), a leading provider in secured wireless networking solutions (WLAN), has announced that DYNASTAR, a French company with a world renown brand, and part of the Groupe Rossignol, has secured its Wi-Fi network with Aruba's technology.

Today, the solution from Aruba enables DYNASTAR to meet the need for wireless security that is so paramount. "Like every other enterprise, we do the utmost to protect our internet connectivity and have spent into it a large amount of our IT budget in the recent years," states David Lyonnaz-Perroux, the IT administrator at DYNASTAR, "so, understandably, we do not wish to weaken our wired infrastructure by the activation of wireless solutions which do not provide acceptable wireless protection. Aruba solution gives us all the tools to guarantee such protection."

After this first successful deployment, DYNASTAR is now considering the replacement of Cisco access points with those of Aruba, a decision motivated by two particular reasons: "Firstly, we are very attracted by the fact that Aruba delivers access points with the conventional radio technology but has centralized the control system, and this is compatible over any existing infrastructure model," explains David Lyonnaz-Perroux. "With this innovative architecture, we are able to control the wireless traffic, to have it under surveillance, and to secure the entire network from one single point of management. Secondly, these products are based on open standards, so they are not proprietary, and this gives our investment a long-term guarantee."

"Until now, most enterprises have been reluctant to deploy wireless networks because of the concerns about their poor security, the complexity of their deployment and maintenance, their lack of real-time air control, and, above all, because of the absence of a centralized and global solution able to resolve all of these issues simultaneously" notes Pascal Desaint, regional director for France and Southern Europe at Aruba Wireless Networks. "Aruba provides enterprise customers with a solution which is highly secured and centrally manageable. It therefore facilitates the deployment of Wi-Fi networks and the centralization of mobile services upon them. Aruba offers the most secure technology built today in centralized WLAN Switching."
