ANT announced that Steven Morris has joined the company in the role of systems architect

CAMBRIDGE, U.K. -- ANT plc (AIM: ANTP), the marketleading provider of software and solutions for the IPTV, hybrid TV andconsumer electronics industries, today announced that Steven Morris hasjoined the company in the role of systems architect.

Morris is an experienced developer in the areas of interactive digitaltelevision and digital video broadcasting (DVB). Formerly of PhilipsElectronics in Taiwan and the UK, he was one of key architects of thedevelopment of the DVB Multimedia Home Platform (MHP) standard and itspredecessors, as well as related standards such as JavaTV and OpenCableApplication Platform (OCAP)

Morris is a co-author of "Interactive TV Standards: A Guide to MHP, OCAP andJavaTV." The book provides digital TV application and middleware developerswith a real-world guide to the new open standards for digital interactiveTV. He is a holder of several patents in the areas of Web browsing, Internetcontent adaptation, memory management in low-memory environments and digitalTV.
