ATLANTA -- Anritsu Company's Network Solutions Division announced today the DN3000 GbE/OC-12 Gateway, a revolutionary networking product that can transport two full Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet channels over separate OC-12c SONET links based on the popular RFC2878 standard for encapsulating Ethernet in PPP (Point-to-Point Protocol). The economical DN3000 is only 1U high including its dual gateways and dual redundant AC or DC power supplies, allowing service providers to accommodate 84 GbE/OC-12 gateways in a single 7-foot (42U) rack. With the smallest footprint in the industry, the DN3000 is less than 1/3 the size of the next competing product. Path 1 Network Technologies, Inc.
