DN3000 GbE/OC-12 Gateway can transport two full Layer 2 GigE channels over separate OC12c Sonet links based on the RFC2878 standard

ATLANTA -- Anritsu Company's Network Solutions Division announced today the DN3000 GbE/OC-12 Gateway, a revolutionary networking product that can transport two full Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet channels over separate OC-12c SONET links based on the popular RFC2878 standard for encapsulating Ethernet in PPP (Point-to-Point Protocol). The economical DN3000 is only 1U high including its dual gateways and dual redundant AC or DC power supplies, allowing service providers to accommodate 84 GbE/OC-12 gateways in a single 7-foot (42U) rack. With the smallest footprint in the industry, the DN3000 is less than 1/3 the size of the next competing product. Path 1 Network Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:PNWK), an industry leader in providing broadcast quality video over packet-based networks, recently selected the DN3000 from Anritsu. "In our tests, the DN3000 successfully transported 575 Mbits of high resolution Video over IP data streams without any packet or frame loss, no induced latency and zero jitter," said Dr. Ronald Fellman, Chief Technology Officer at Path 1 Network Technologies. "The most demanding form of data to transport over IP is video and the DN3000 proved quite up to the task. It completely satisfies our needs for interfacing through SONET networks and at an excellent price point." Anritsu Corp.
