SAN JOSE, Calif. -- ANDA Networks, a premier provider of carrier-class access/gateway solutions for circuit-and-packet-switched public networks, today announced that the company will introduce its new UAP 2000 Loop Unbundling solution at SUPERCOMM in Atlanta June 4-6. This device is designed to dramatically reduce the costs for incumbent service providers (ILEC) associated with the shared use of network infrastructures, such as remote terminals, by competitive local exchange carriers (CLEC). "ANDA's Loop Unbundling solution is more than just a small, digital cross-connect system (DACs)," said Charles R. Kenmore, president and CEO of ANDA Networks. "It has application software for TR-08 to D4 channel bank protocol conversion in a single platform. This all-electronic system lowers operating expenditures by drastically minimizing the need for manual intervention." This device also reduces capital expenditures by eliminating various hardware configurations currently deployed within the network such as the Analog Line Unit (ALU) at the local digital switch. The UAP 2000 Loop Unbundling system works with incumbent solutions, such as Lucent Technologies' SLC(96 and the SLC( Series 5 Carrier Systems, as well as other compatible remote subscriber line carrier multiplexing devices or concentrators.
