Alcatel signs three-year global reseller agreement to sell, service, and support Axiom's 5620 AXiOSS DSL Service Management product

PARIS -- Alcatel (Paris: CGEP.PA and NYSE: ALA), the world leader in broadband access solutions, today announced it has entered into a global reseller agreement with Axiom, a leader in service delivery software. The three-year contract allows Alcatel, in conjunction with Axiom, to sell, service and support the 5620 AXiOSS® DSL Service Management (DSM) product globally. This agreement strengthens Alcatel’s Service Management product portfolio and complements existing, best-of-breed “Alcatel Connected” partnerships in Service Assurance and Billing. The 5620 AXiOSS® DSM has three main components: the Business Process Manager (BPM)*, Inventory Management System (IMS), and Service Activation Framework Environment (SAFE). These modules perform workflow visibility, inventory management and network configuration. Using powerful templating of advanced DSL services, the 5620 AXiOSS® product significantly reduces operational costs and OSS integration times of broadband services by as much as 50 percent.
