Agilent introduces video testing capabilities for its wireless network optimization platform

CANNES, France -- Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A - News) today introduced video testing capabilities for its Wireless Network Optimization Platform that enable RF engineering teams to quantify wireless user experience during video calls and help identify the cause of problems. By enabling a smooth introduction and ongoing maintenance of wireless video services, the solution helps service providers ensure high quality of service and maximum revenue.
"Testing flexibility is a requirement in an industry where diverse service offerings are supported by a complex collection of multi-vendor devices, protocols and interfaces," said Tom Walls, vice president and general manager of Agilent's Telecommunication Systems Division. "With the platform's easy-to-use and customizable interface, RF engineers have the flexibility to build video tests into structured sequences. The solution enables simplified integration with other data service tests, such as MMS (multimedia message service), SMS (short message service), HTTP, FTP, e-mail or WAP (wireless application protocol)."
