MINNEAPOLIS -- ADC (Nasdaq:ADCT; www.adc.com) announced today that Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC), the largest provider of cellular services in Kuwait, will deploy ADC's new generation Metrica(R) Performance Manager to monitor the network performance and the quality of services delivered to all of MTC's mobile subscribers in the country. ADC has won this contract via its global partner, Harris Corporation.
"We like to consider ourselves pioneers of mobile services and are fully dedicated to providing our customers with the latest advancements in technology and services to enhance their way of life. We believe that the world-class performance and flexibility of ADC's Metrica solution coupled with Harris' experience will enable us to deliver on our commitment to our customers now and in the future," said Khaled Al-Hajiri, deputy director general for networks for MTC.
Metrica will provide MTC with a consolidated view of key performance indicators, giving the service provider comprehensive visibility of network quality and utilization. With this information, MTC will be able to run its networks at maximum efficiency, maintaining its highly competitive service quality while dynamically deploying capacity to match potential growth in demand. It will also provide the tools needed to help detect both long-term and immediate problems and distinguish between service-affecting and non-service-affecting network-quality issues.
"Our contract with MTC represents a further milestone for our service assurance business and strengthens our long-standing and successful partnership with Harris throughout the world," said David Heaps, senior vice president and general manager of the Metrica Group of the Software Systems Business Unit and general manager of its Metrica group for ADC. "MTC is an exciting opportunity for us and we look forward to working with them now and as they introduce new services in future."
