In this role, the SBCs' enable Internet Solutions to protect their network resources and extend their service reach and revenue potential. The features used include topology hiding, service theft protection, call admission control, hosted NAT traversal and H.323 to SIP interworking.
According to Mark van Bavel, Principle Consultant, Service Providers Solutions at Dimension Data South Africa, "We selected the Acme Packet solution based on the superior feature set, performance and scalability along with their timely support in architecting the solution and their ability to meet our specific needs of interworking with other vendors." "Internet Solutions saw an opportunity to bring innovative and cost effective voice services to South African businesses as that market was freed from regulations," declared Andy Ory, president and CEO, Acme Packet. "We are pleased that Dimension Data recognized Acme Packet as having the best product set for fulfilling Internet Solution's needs in their VoIS network deployment."
