Accton and IP Infusion join forces to develop Ethernet and metro switches

SAN JOSE, Calif. and HSINCHU, Taiwan -– Accton Technology Corporation (Accton hereinafter), (TAIEX: 2345) a leading outsourcing partner of advanced communication products and IP Infusion, a leading provider of intelligent network software for enhanced IP services, today announced that they will team together to develop Enterprise and Metro Ethernet switches available to Accton OEM partners. Accton has selected IP I nfusion’s entire line of ZebOS® Layer 3 routing, and MPLS protocol software to integrate into multiple product lines of switches ranging from the low-end to the high-end.

Accton plans to integrate IP Infusion’s software into its existing Mercury platform, and phase into all Accton product lines for its worldwide ODM customers. Accton will also apply this new advanced platform into its new Metro Ethernet switch targeting at the emerging Metro Ethernet market.
