ARRIS announced a big catch earlier today, landing Cable One as a customer for the vendor's cable telephony gear. ARRIS said Cable One, the 10th largest MSO in the U.S., will deploy both the Cadant C4 cable modem termination system (CMTS) and the Touchstone 402 line of embedded multimedia terminal adapters (e-MTAs) for its voice over IP (VoIP) rollout. This marks the first time that Cable One has ordered broadband equipment from ARRIS. Privately owned Cable One, a unit of the Washington Post Co., operates 52 cable systems serving 715,000 subscribers in 19 states.
