SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- With an eye for the future, C9 Networks, the leading provider of affordable leading edge communications solutions for multiple service operators (MSOs), announced today that they will be showcasing their C2000 cable modem termination system (CMTS) with fixed wireless capability at the 2005 NCTA "The National Show." The C2000 can be seen at C9's booth #6554 in the main hall during the show April 3-5 at The Moscone Center in San Francisco.

The only CMTS on the market today at its price, the C2000 marks a clear migration path for any MSO wishing to add fixed wireless capabilities to their operation and immediately begin realizing additional revenues for secure wireless services.

Michael Arden, Principal Analyst, ABI Research noted, "cable television industry trends - including the integration of WiFi, the migration to Internet protocol (IP) delivery for interactive services, and growth in DOCSIS set-top box demand - will require CMTS products with greater functionality and flexibility, including wireless capabilities." Designed to be implemented in a "noisy" area, the C2000 is a perfect complement to existing wired infrastructure or a rock solid independent stand alone performer, the C2000 offers complexity and performance at a price point well below competitors' offerings. The C2000 enables MSOs to deliver broadband services to areas that are otherwise inaccessible or do not readily have cable infrastructure in place and thus increase the availability of their services, enlarge their service footprint, and realize increased revenues through new and existing customers.
