NEWBURY PARK, Calif. -- eGTran Corporation is pleased to announce the completion on April 2nd of the acquisition by its California subsidiary GTRAN, Inc., of the business of Telcom Devices, Inc. a subsidiary of Anadigics, Inc. (Ticker: ANAD). "We look forward to greatly expanding our business under the well-known GTRAN brand name and with EZConn's cost-effective manufacturing resources." said Doug Holmes, who will continue to head the acquired business.

Ruai Yu, COO of GTRAN, explained the strategic rationale for the assetacquisition: "The people and products we are adding are very complementary to our existing optical product lines. This acquisition adds analog, digital, and monitor photo-detector based product lines to eGTran's wide range of broadband connectivity components."

"The acquisition of these photo-detector technologies will enable us to extend our receiver products into the 40G and 100G arena. In addition, we can now source many of our photo-detector needs internally, allowing performance optimization, convenient logistics control, and cost reduction for our component and transceiver products in the long run." Ruai Yu added.
