SHENZHEN, China -- ZTE Corporation of China, a global mainstream telecommunications infrastructure supplier, today announced its latest international success with the biggest CDMA contract in Nepal’s telecom history.
Under the terms of the contract, ZTE will supply CDMA2000 1X equipment to build a state-of-the-art network that will cover the country’s major areas. After the network is installed, it will simultaneously provide full mobile services and wireless local loop services, and the 1x EV-DO system will offer a data rate of 2Mbps. Subscribers will also enjoy intelligent network services, voice mail, wireless high data rate services and other complementary services.
“Nepal – with mountainous regions, rural areas and some densely populated districts – presents an exciting challenge for providers of telecommunications infrastructure,” said Mr Cao Chenggang, general manager of ZTE’s representative office in Nepal.
“We were therefore delighted that ZTE’s solution was chosen – not only for its technological capability but for our commitment to deliver and support our customer.”
