Zero-Knowledge Systems rebrands itself as RadialPoint
May 4, 2005
MONTREAL -- Zero-Knowledge Systems Inc., a leading provider of managed Internet services to many of the world’s largest broadband providers, today changed its name to Radialpoint. The company also announced it signed ntl, the UK and Ireland’s largest cable operator and a leading provider of broadband and communications services, as its first new customer under the Radialpoint name, and that Hunt Norment has joined as Vice President of Marketing and Product Development. Ntl will offer Radialpoint’s Anti-Virus service free to its subscribers under the product name Netguard.
The Radialpoint Managed Services Delivery Platform is currently used by some of the world’s largest broadband providers, including Adelphia and BellSouth in the United States; Aliant, Bell and TELUS in Canada, and ntl, ONO and Telewest in Europe. Radialpoint now serves over 14 million broadband subscribers worldwide, making it the dominant player in managed Internet services.
As Radialpoint moves to deploy new services beyond security, management decided to develop a new brand name that better describes the expanded scope of the company’s growing leadership in managed services.
“Radialpoint is a name and brand that reflects our business today and the unique vision we have for managing and delivering future Internet services,” said Hamnett Hill, president and CEO of Radialpoint. “Zero-Knowledge was a name that served us well for many years, but no longer fits the company or its products. As we continue to add leading broadband providers like ntl as customers, it is important that our name and brand accurately reflect what we do and the market leadership we have achieved in the managed Internet services industry.”
Mr. Hill continued: “The concept behind the name Radialpoint is that there is an intersection at which the market demand for a spectrum of broadband services and the ability to deliver, deploy and support those services profitably are in balance. We call this a radial point, and it is what we enable our customers to achieve.”
