Steve Perna takes the helm as president and chief executive officer at WiQuest to lead next generation of growth and development

ALLEN, Texas -- WiQuest Communications, Inc., the leading wireless consumer solutions company developing complete ultrawideband (UWB) silicon, software and manufacturing solutions today announced the appointment of Steve Perna as their new President and CEO.
Perna will work closely together with Dr. Matthew B. Shoemake, WiQuest's founding chief executive officer to achieve long-term growth and profitability goals for WiQuest. Shoemake was named WiQuest's chief strategy officer responsible for worldwide engineering, operations and corporate strategy. These executive management moves are being made as WiQuest prepares for a hyper-growth demand phase for standards-based, Certified Wireless USB products and solutions based on the company's wireless digital video UWB technology, WiDV(R).
"Under Matthew's leadership, WiQuest has continuously set the standard for UWB and Certified Wireless USB solutions, as evidenced by their working solutions in production platforms shipping from Belkin, Dell, D-Link, Lenovo and Toshiba," said Perna. Prior to joining WiQuest, Perna spent 12 years at PMC-Sierra where he held the executive positions of vice president marketing and vice president general manager.Prior to joining PMC-Sierra, Perna held numerous executive and management roles in engineering, operations and marketing during his 15 years at Texas Instruments.
