BELLEVUE, Wash. -- WatchMark Corp., a global provider of service assurance software for current and future wireless networks, today announced its participation in the OSS through Java Initiative (OSS/J), where it will team with industry leaders to develop standardized application program interfaces (APIs) to foster an interoperable ecosystem of operations support system (OSS) solutions. In addition to participation in the OSS/J Program Management Team, WatchMark will lead the focus team responsible for the specification of the service quality management (SQM) API.

"Service Quality Management improves operational efficiency by focusing the operations staff on high impact business problems. As corporations begin to depend more on their service provider to support mission critical applications, SQM will become more significant," said David Hawley, Yankee Group Telecom Software Strategies Analyst. "The ability to quickly and cost effectively integrate SQM solutions with other OSS functions will be crucial to adoption by service providers."
