Volantis Appoints CEO

Matthew Harris, former president and CEO of embedded software developer Metrowerks, joins Volantis

GUILDFORD, U.K. -- Volantis, the world’s leading supplier of Intelligent Content Adaptation solutions and services for the next generation Internet, today announced the appointment of Matthew Harris as Chief Executive Officer.

Harris joins Volantis from US-based Metrowerks, creators of CodeWarrior embedded software development tools, where he was President and CEO and led a major restructuring of the organization. Metrowerks is an independently operating subsidiary of Freescale Semiconductor Inc., which was part of Motorola until 2004. Previous to Metrowerks, Harris was President and CEO of Lineo Inc., was a founding partner of the Summit Law Group, practiced law in San Francisco and Seattle and worked as a software engineer at Electronic Data Systems.
