FAREHAM, U.K. -- The emergence of Intelligent SMS routing from Telsis as the new global standard in high performance messaging network technology continues today with the announcement of a new deal with Vodafone Greece.

Already deployed by operators including Vodafone UK and Jersey Telecom, and at the centre of a global distribution agreement with Ericsson, the Telsis SMS Router is a radical departure from old-style messaging architecture.

It uses ultra-high speed processing to deliver most messages instantly, creating unprecedented quality of service for both person-to-person messaging, and for high-volume events such as TV-driven votes. At the same time it enables a new portfolio of advanced SMS-based applications to be deployed, and provides sophisticated network protection and load balancing services.

Previous generation messaging networks are built around short message service centres (SMSCs) that cannot support advanced services and which create a throughput bottleneck by storing every message before delivery.
