Julián Oncina hired as the new director of financial administration and control for Vodafone Spain, taking over the position from Philip Payne

MADRID -- Vodafone Spain today announces the appointment of Julián Oncina as its new Director of Financial Administration and Control, taking over the position from Philip Payne, who assumed the role when Airtel became part of the Vodafone Group and successfully took the company through the transition phase, fully aligning Vodafone Spain’s financial and administrative processes with those of the Vodafone Group.
Julián Oncina is 43 years of age, a graduate in Economics and Business Administration from Madrid University and has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from IESE. He will join Vodafone Spain from British Telecom, where he is currently the European Vice President of Finance, prior to which he led the Financial department of the Spanish subsidiary of the BT Group. Before joining BT, Julián held various senior management positions in multi-national companies, including British Petroleum and Yoplait. Julián Oncina will bring his extensive managerial and international experience to Vodafone Spain.
