Has expanded the sales team and added manufacturing and operations facilities

EATONTOWN, N.J. -- Village Networks, Inc., the leader in integrated IP-over-optics networking solutions, today announced significant expansion to facilitate the successful deployment of its flagship product the iOPN2000 this summer. The company, which now has approximately 140 employees, has expanded the sales team and added manufacturing and operations facilities. Additionally, they have moved their corporate headquarters to a new 75,000 square-foot facility.
Village Networks' move to its new corporate nearly triples the size of its previous offices. In addition to accommodating all corporate offices, this new facility has 15,000 square feet of manufacturing space as well as research and development labs. Additionally, in order to better simulate a live network environment and facilitate testing, Village Networks has run fiber cables around the building that connects multiple iOPN2000 devices. "Village Networks is in a significant transition, evolving from a start-up to a revenue-producing company. I am very excited about this achievement and proud of the Village Networks team, which has achieved so much so quickly," said Kai Eng, founder, president and CEO of Village Networks. He added that the company launch was in October of 2000, the iOPN2000 launch and initial beta tests were in December, and now the company is planning initial product deployment only six months later.
