MINNEAPOLIS -- Ubiquio Corporation, a leading provider of services formobile and wireless devices, announced that it has completed its acquisition of Firewhite Inc.Silicon Valley-based Firewhite is the developer of the first automated provisioning system to support both PocketPC and Palm handheld computers. With the acquisition, Ubiquio gains a patent-pending technology that expands its product line to include both full-service and selfservice solutions for companies that are rolling out mobile and wireless systems. Terms were not disclosed.Already a major provider of outsourced mobile provisioning and management services, Ubiquio deploys thousands of devices each year for its customers. Provisioning makes a new mobile device ready for use by loading custom software, personalizing device or application settings, and activating a wireless connection. Firewhite’s automated provisioning system greatly reduces the manual labor needed to perform this task, lowering cost and defect rates while increasing scalability.
