Transparent Networks moves headquarters to a new custom-built facility located next to its MEMS foundry in Milpitas, Calif.

MILPITAS, Calif. -- Transparent Networks, Inc., developer of intelligent photonic switching systems, today announced the expansion and relocation of company headquarters from Santa Clara to Milpitas, California. The new offices more than double the previous office capacity and quadruples the R&D lab and assembly areas, including the state-of-the-art optical clean room. The new Milpitas location enables Transparent to drive its growth and new product development programs on the West Coast. Steven Nasiri, Vice President of Operations, said, "The technological infrastructure of Milpitas and surrounding Silicon Valley, as well as the ready availability of qualified engineers, allows Transparent to continue its rapid growth and to increase its first-class research and development efforts." "This is an exciting time for Transparent Networks," said Dr. Janusz Bryzek, President and CEO of Transparent Networks. "Relocation to a new facility in the middle of an economic downturn gave us not only the first class facility, but also significant savings on rent. When we were starting two years ago, we sequentially lost three leases to more mature companies, so we had to start our operations from my dining room. Now we could choose the type of facility, its location and the custom tenant improvements. We have chosen the location next door to our MEMS foundry, significantly simplifying the wafer flow logistics, as our engineers are hands-on involved in MOEMS process development in this foundry."
