VERNON HILLS, Ill. -- Telular Corporation (Nasdaq: WRLS) today announced immediate availability of its newest product, the Phonecell® SX4T CDMA2000 1X Fixed Cellular Terminal. The SX4T joins the Phonecell® SX4P CDMA2000 1X Fixed Cellular Phone, which has been shipping commercially since August. These latest additions to Telular's broad product portfolio feature wireline voice quality, high-speed packet data, circuit-switched data, and Group 3 analog fax.

The SX4 CDMA2000 1X products can be used in all of the traditional fixed wireless applications including wireless local loop, portable dial tone, least cost routing, and telemetry. However, they excel in the wireline replacement application, where users bypass high-cost wired service without giving up the traditional features of a fixed phone line. Users simply plug their standard telephones, faxes and computers into the terminal ports and receive immediate telephone access through CDMA wireless networks.

"This 1X product line gives Telular an edge in CDMA markets throughout the Americas, Africa and Asia," said Ken Millard, chairman and chief executive officer. "The 1X products have achieved a milestone in cellular fixed wireless by surpassing the data speeds of the majority of wireline installations."

Telular's Phonecell® SX4T CDMA2000 1X is available in single band 800 MHZ and single band 1900 MHZ models. Standard models include battery backup and the option for analog fax connectivity. By connecting an optional USB or RS-232 data cable to a personal computer you get easy access to packet data or circuit switched data services and PC fax.

Telular's Phonecell® SX4P CDMA2000 1X is available in three models; a dual band 800/1900 MHZ model, a single band 800 MHZ model, and a single band 1900 MHZ model. Each model includes battery backup. By connecting an optional USB or RS-232 data cable to a personal computer you get easy access to packet data or circuit switched data services and PC fax.
