OTTAWA -- Exemplifying the burgeoningopportunity in photonics—the technology that packs more and more bitsinto a pulse of light—Ottawa start-up Tellamon Photonic Networksexpanded into a new 72,000 square foot facility and changed its identityto Peleton Photonic Systems.Peleton took possession of a new 72,000 sq.ft. facility, located in theOttawa South Business Park, growing from initial office space of 6,000sq.ft. “The expansion was necessary to catapult our Company through thenext stages of growth,” says Peleton President & CEO, Dr. HamidHatami-Hanza. Peleton currently employs 70 people, growing 50 per centover the past 6 months.
