DENVER -- ARRIS TeleWire Supply today announced the introduction of FlexPull™, a new line of textile innerduct for cable installation in conduit. Marketed under the company’s proprietary MONARCH™ brand, FlexPull helps maximize cable density in occupied or empty conduit.Unlike other textile innerduct products, FlexPull cells are independent of one another allowing each cell to expand to its full capacity. This can reduce required pulling tension by eliminating the “cell crowding” that can occur with shared-wall fabrics.FlexPull comes in a variety of standard cell sizes from 1/2 to 2-inches in ¼-inch increments, allowing users to size each cell to the individual cables being pulled. This creates cost efficiencies and reduces the amount of conduit space needed to accommodate the fabric. Any number of cells of varying sizes can be packaged on a single compact wooden reel to satisfy the unique requirements of specific installations.“FlexPull is a truly flexible solution,” said Tony Pantoja, Vice President of Product Marketing for ARRIS TeleWire Supply. “Independent cells make this product highly configurable so it is easy for engineers to specify, purchasing agents to order, and installation crews and contractors to install.”Manufactured from UV-protected, woven nylon and polyester monofilaments, FlexPull is loomed using a twill-weaving process that results in increased tensile strength, reduced elongation and “snap back,” and a smoother inside and outside surface that reduces pulling friction. Color tracers are woven into each individual cell for easy identification before, during, and after cable is pulled. Detectable wire also can be woven into the fabric. Flex pull is available in standard lengths of 1,000, 2,500 and 5,000 feet, with custom lengths available as a special order.Arris Group Inc.
