Telenor announces it has acquired Norwegian mobile operator Talkmore

OSLO, Norway -- Telenor acquires Norwegian mobile operator Talkmore. The purchase price is NOK 135 million (enterprise value). Talkmore's revenues in 2006 was NOK 178 million.
"Talkmore operates within the low-price segment of the Norwegian mobile market. We are pleased that we have managed to secure a substantial customer base and key experience through this acquisition. Telenor shall be a leading player within this segment," said Morten Karlsen Sørby, Executive Vice President and Head of Telenor Nordic.
Talkmore will remain a separate brand and the company will continue as an operational entity with the same market focus. All employees will receive offers of continued employment in the company.
