Telegent Systems appoints Brooke Seawell to its board of directors as an independent board member and the chairman of the audit committee

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Telegent Systems, the company that makes television mobile withits high-performance single-chip mobile TV solutions, announced the appointmentof Brooke Seawell to Telegent's board of directors as an independent board memberand the chairman of the audit committee.

With seven IPOs in his career as an officer and a director, Seawell brings morethan 25 years of experience in technology finance and operations toTelegent'sboard. He has served as Executive Vice President at NetDynamics, an applicationserver software company acquired by Sun Microsystems in 1998; as Senior VicePresident - finance and operations & CFO at Synopsys, an electronic design automationsoftware company which he took public in 1992; and as Vice President -financeand production & CFO of Weitek, a fabless semiconductor company which hetookpublic in 1988. Recognized by Upside Magazine as one of the top 15high-techCFOs in 1990, Seawell has subsequently served as Venture Partner atTechnologyCrossover Ventures and is currently a Venture Partner at NEA. Seawell sitsonthe boards of three public companies - NVIDIA (Nasdaq: NVDA), Informatica (Nasdaq:INFA), Glu Mobile (Nasdaq: GLUU) - and several private companies.
