Tecnomen secures a new customer in Honduras

ESPOO, Finland -- Aló-Megatel, a subsidiary of América Móvil in Honduras, has chosen Tecnomen to supply its prepaid system. Delivery is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2004.
Since its debut in November 2003, Aló-Megatel has signed up more than 150,000 wireless subscribers in Honduras. Aló-Megatel estimates its potential market in Honduras at 1 million subscribers. They plan to offer third-generation (3G) services comprising video, voice and data products.
Honduras has been experiencing significant development in the telecommunications sector after the end of a seven year monopoly within the industry. Delivering high quality services quickly and easily is crucial for our success. Tecnomens prepaid expertise and understanding of the Latin American marketplace will provide vital support to us in gaining a solid presence throughout the country."
