The value of the contract is approximately EUR 7.2 million. Delivery of the enhanced system will take place at the end of 2003 and the beginning of 2004.

We will use the new services to attract new subscribers to both our GSM and 3G services, and to further increase voice traffic and customer loyalty."

"This is another important step forward for, and a result of, the long term principle of co-operation between Chunghwa Telecom and Tecnomen," says Pekka Tunttunen, General Manager, Tecnomen Taiwan. "We have the opportunity to further enhance Chunghwa's value-added service portfolio. These innovative services provide new revenue streams for Chunghwa and add value to their mobile subscription.
