TDC and Ericsson in strategic cooperation

COPENHAGEN -- Today, TDC and Ericsson enter into a strategic partnership agreement ensuring TDC the ability to offer mobile broadband to 99 % of all Danes by 2010.

"Never before in the Nordic region has an incumbent telco entered into such a comprehensive partnership agreement with only one supplier beeing responsible for management, maintenance, and expansion of an entire mobile network. It sets a completely new standard for the way of operating mobile networks in the future, and this will make TDC capable of increasing the distance to the other competitors in the market," says President and CEO of TDC, Mr Jens Alder.

With the partnership agreement, TDC can now focus even more on ensuring customers the best quality, safety and user-friendly services on the mobile. It covers all options as regards to speech and services such as SMS, MMS, mobile TV, music and all the other contents and possibilities that the mobile broadband offers.

"The agreement with Ericsson is fully in line with TDC's new strategy, which is through simplification and efficiency, to provide a solid foundation for IT and networks that will help manifest TDC's competitive position," says Jens Alder.
