Huawei 5G products not hurt by US sanctions – sources

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- T-Networks, a start-up that provides next-generation optical network solutions, announced today that it has secured $12.5M in funding. Led by Sequoia Capital, and including two leaders in the communications semiconductor industry, this round brings the company's total funding to $41.5M. T-Networks investors now include venture capital firms Greylock Partners, Lighthouse Capital, Sequoia Capital, and US Venture Partners. Corporate investors include communication semiconductor companies Intel Capital and Vitesse, amongst others. T-Networks has developed a product platform targeted at 40 Gb/s and faster optical networking infrastructures. "I believe that T-Networks is well positioned to be one of very few leaders in the space they have chosen to conquer in the explosive high speed optical networking arena," said Pierre Lamond, Partner at Sequoia Capital. "Our investment, given the current market conditions, is a true testament to the strength of the management team, the sound strategic plan, and the validity of their product platform."
