Telekom Austria Group launches fixed broadband and mobile broadband bundle

VIENNA -- The Telekom Austria Group (VSE: TKA, OTC US: TKAGY) today announces that its mobile communication subsidiary, mobilkom austria became the first Austrian mobile communication operator to launch a product bundle including fixed net broadband access via WLAN and mobile broadband via a laptop card via 3G technology.

A1 BREITBAND UNLIMITED provides download speeds of up to 7.2 MBit/s using HSDPA, upload speeds of up to 1.4 MBit/s over HSUPA and download speeds of up to 8 MBit/s and unlimited download volume on fixed net broadband via xDSL. Software provided automatically and seamlessly switches between WLAN access using the fixed net broadband and mobile broadband when outside the WLAN coverage area.

Hannes Ametsreiter, Chief Marketing Officer of Telekom Austria Fixed Net and mobilkom austria said: “A1 BREITBAND UNLIMITED combines the advantages of both products: unlimited surfing, also outside of one’s home and fast fixed net broadband at home.”

A1 BREITBAND UNLIMITED includes unlimited internet access via the fixed net broadband line and a monthly download volume of 500 MB on mobile broadband. If the download volume on mobile broadband exceeds 500 MB the download speed is automatically limited to 192 Kbit/s downstream.

For customers subscribing to A1 BREITBAND UNLIMITED from July 14, to September 14, 2008 the activation fee of EUR 49 as well as set up fee of EUR 167 for the fixed net broadband line are waived.

A1 BREITBAND UNLIMITED is available in two versions. Customers, who have no fixed net broadband access from Telekom Austria and subscribe within the promotion period pay no set up and activation fee and a monthly fee of EUR 30. For subscription later than September 14, 2008 the monthly fee amounts to EUR 45. Customers with a fixed net broadband access from Telekom Austria get A1 BREITBAND UNLIMITED for EUR 32.
