Syniverse CTO Takes Over CEO Job

Syniverse appointed Jeffrey S. Gordon to the role of president and chief executive officer

TAMPA, Fla. -- Syniverse announced today the appointment of Jeffrey S. Gordon to the role of President and Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2011. Gordon will succeed Tony Holcombe, who will become Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and continue to be actively engaged with Syniverse’s business and customers.

Gordon joined Syniverse in 2008 and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer leading the company’s global technology operations, product realization and research and development activities. Prior to joining Syniverse, Gordon held numerous senior-level positions in the technology industry with Convergys, Bell Atlantic and IBM, and has co-authored numerous patents relating to systems architecture and wireless communications.

Jeff’s foresight and technology vision will continue to enable our customers to make mobile work around the world,” said Holcombe, who joined Syniverse’s Board of Directors in 2003 and was appointed President and CEO in 2006.
