Strix Systems announces details of its Channel/One Partner Program for distribution of the Access/One Network
September 2, 2003
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. -- Strix Systems, Inc. today announced details of its Channel/One Partner Program for distribution of the Access/One Network, the first completely distributed, self-configuring wireless local area network system which began shipping July 21, 2003. Strix Systems is now signing partners for its entirely indirect channel program, ensuring that worldwide coverage will be achieved.
Strix Systems also introduced Architect/One, an intuitive network planning tool for Strix partners, which designs and builds the RF coverage map based on network requirements. It provides automatic prediction for the optimal layout of the Access/One Network Nodes within the physical network, based on coverage, throughput and usage requirements. Also available to VARs is the Support/One Program which will provide continuing support after the initial one year product warranty.
To date, Strix Systems has signed 20 partners to the program in the United States, Japan and Europe. “We added Strix to our portfolio of leading technologies because they offer a combination of two unique approaches – wireless backhaul and mesh network communication,” said Tom Mooreland, Partner/COO at Genesis Data Networks, a Southern California-based solutions provider. “In addition to hands-on training, and low cost investment in terms of demo equipment, Strix has built in highly attractive profit margins for its partners.”
A new channel partner page, now accessible from the Strix Systems Web site, provides the latest sales tools, presentations, success stories and detailed product information. “The Strix channel partner page is a nice complement to the comprehensive product, sales, and technical training we received from Strix,” continued Mooreland.
“Our channel program is being received with enthusiasm from our partners,” said Cyrus Irani, Strix Systems VP Business Development. “We’re providing a very unique approach to wireless networking and know that the channel is key to our success. We plan to make available every necessary resource to build their business and ours.”
