WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. -- Solus Micro Technologies (www.solustech.com) today introduced the TFM series of high-performance tunable Fabry-Perot filters for use in optical performance monitors (OPMs) and other optical telecommunications networking equipment. The new TFM series will be comprised of three models, and are designed and optimized to address many different wavelength agile applications in metropolitan, long haul, and ultra-long haul optical networks. The flagship of the product line, the TFM-2000, will make its formal debut at the OFC (Optical Fiber Communication) conference in Anaheim, CA, March 19-21, in the Solus booth (#6542). The TFM series incorporates Solus' proprietary Compliant MEMS (CMEMS) technology, which is designed to deliver high performance, more reliability, and lower cost than traditional silicon-based MEMS. The highly integrated tunable filters come in a very compact package, designed to reduce the size of today's tunable filter components by as much as 50%.
