VANCOUVER and SINGAPORE -- Sierra Wireless (NASDAQ:SWIR)(TSX:SW) announced today that it has signed its first distribution agreement in Singapore with Network Electronics S.E.A. Pte Ltd. Under the terms of the agreement, Network Electronics S.E.A. Pte Ltd will distribute the AirCard(R) 750, a wide-area GSM/GPRS wireless network card modem, to the Singapore marketplace. Network Electronics S.E.A. Pte Ltd has also placed a purchase order with Sierra Wireless and product will be commercially available in Singapore later in June. This agreement demonstrates Sierra Wireless's ongoing commitment to delivering wireless products in the Asia-Pacific region, building on recent distribution announcements in both China and Hong Kong. The AirCard 750 has also received IDA (Infocomm Development Authority) regulatory approval in Singapore as announced by the company on June 4, 2002.
