Developed in response to requests from existing and prospective customers, this integrated solution will create a comprehensive system for transportation carriers, service providers and owners of supply chain assets to manage, monitor and secure shipments. The product initiative combines QUALCOMM's market-leading OmniTRACS(R) and OmniExpress(R) mobile communications systems, network operations and fleet management, with Savi's proven real-time solutions that leverage their latest, sixth generation, active radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology -- including electronic security seals -- with enterprise software that improves the management and security of supply chain assets. The result of this integrated product initiative is the first real-time solution that encompasses the visibility and management of fleet operations with management and security of supply chain assets, such as maritime containers, reusable transport containers, truck trailers, rail cars and intermodal containers.
