Rogers Rolls Out HSPA+, Teams With MTS

Becomes first in North America to super-charge its network to maximum speeds of 21 Mbit/s

TORONTO -- Rogers Wireless today announced it has begun theCanada-wide deployment of a 21 Megabits per second (Mbps) high-speed HSPA+(High Speed Packet Access Plus) wireless network, following the successfulexpansion and doubling of speed of its high-speed network to 7.2 Mbps lastyear. Starting in August, Rogers will progressively increase wireless networkdownload speeds up to 21 Mbps in the Greater Toronto Area, and expand quicklyover the coming months to other cities across the country. Rogers Wirelesscustomers - who today already experience the fastest wireless data speeds inCanada - will experience peak wireless download speeds that are as fast as anyavailable in the world. Rogers is the first wireless provider in North Americaand only the sixth carrier in the world to launch HSPA+ at peak speeds of 21Mbps, putting Canada on top of the world in technology and innovation and onceagain, bringing leading-edge technologies to Canadian consumers first.

TORONTO -- Rogers Wireless today announced it has enteredinto a shared 3.5G High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) wireless network buildingagreement with MTS Allstream Inc., which will provide customers of Rogers andMTS Allstream with expanded 3.5G HSPA wireless network services in Manitoba.Building a high-speed wireless network together is a cost effective way toincrease Rogers Wireless' mobile coverage in the province of Manitoba by theend of 2010.
