SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Rhozet Corporation announced today that David Trescot has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Rhozet, Trescot was Vice President of Product Management and Marketing for Avvenu, Inc., a Silicon Valley startup focused on mobile device technologies. Prior to Avvenu, Mr. Trescot managed the Adobe Digital Video Group. At Adobe, he was responsible for the product direction and marketing for Adobe's entire range of award-winning media applications, including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Encore, and Audition.
"I'm very excited to be joining the Rhozet team," said Trescot. "There is an enormous change going on in the industry as IP-based delivery, storage, and management of video become the norm. Anyone delivering video today has an increasing number of encoding formats, sizes, and data rates to deal with. Rhozet is ideally positioned for this transformation with its world-class grid transcoding software that provides faster-than-realtime transcoding between any video format"
"David brings excellent management experience to our company," said Ove Bjelke-Holtermann, Rhozet co-founder and CTO. "Our rapidly expanding business needs someone with the skills to build a much larger organization. He's a great addition."
Rhozet Corporation offers a range of products from single-machine software to enterprise level grid encoding networks linked across dozens of machines. The Rhozet Carbon transcoding engine forms the basis for Rhozet's product line. This engine can be used in a single machine as the Carbon Coder, or can be expanded into a complete networked Carbon Grid solution. Rhozet offers a complete software solution for managing enterprise-level encoding networks. The Rhozet software interface is also extremely customizable, allowing partners to integrate the Rhozet transcoding software into their existing storage and delivery infrastructure.
The Rhozet solution can be seen at the upcoming NAB tradeshow in Las Vegas starting April 24th. Rhozet will be demonstrating in its booth #SL-4006, as well as in a variety of partner booths including Grass Valley, Omneon Video Networks, Crispin Corporation, ProMax, and Microsoft.
