Remec Wins OEM Deal

OEM customer selects Remec to produce an integrated subsystem for all of its GSM base stations

SAN DIEGO -- REMEC Inc. (NASDAQ:REMC) has been selected by a leading European Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customer for the production of an integrated subsystem to be used in all of their Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) base stations.

The OEM will use new products from REMEC as GSM base station antenna filtering sub-systems in order to provide a cost effective solution for network operators. The agreement allows REMEC to build on its leading edge technical development of antenna filtering units for its OEM partners. The product provides mobile telecommunications network operators with a more integrated base station solution. REMEC was selected as a partner based on its technical performance, current prototypes and initial product risk assessment.
