MODI'IN, Israel -- Redux Communications and Telrad Connegy will be showing a joint demo of TDM over Ethernet/IP at SuperComm 2003. Redux Communications will be using Telrad Connegy's UNITe business communications solution to demonstrate Legacy over Ethernet/IP by means of Redux's RS-160, the world's most cost-effective single-chip solution for transporting both E1/T1 and Ethernet services over an Ethernet/IP network.

Telrad Connegy is an innovative provider of telecommunication systems, products and solutions to businesses of all sizes worldwide. The company's offerings include traditional and advanced digital telephony, wireless solutions and pure IP telephony products, including award winning i.Picasso.

Redux's RS-160, is a special purpose 100 Mbps wire-speed network processor that enables a single high-speed packet link to be used to transport both data services and circuit-based services thereby eliminating the cost of a dedicated TDM line. The RS-160 is optimized for integration into any networking or telephony switching devices so that legacy TDM devices can utilize the rapidly growing Ethernet and IP access and backbone networks now becoming available. The RS-160, unlike H.323-based and other VoIP systems, supports any signaling protocols in the TDM connection, making it a powerful tool for smoothly migrating legacy TDM equipment for use in of Ethernet and IP networks.

"We are proud that Redux have selected Telrad Connegy's UNITe for its innovative TDM over Ethernet/IP demonstration in SuperComm 2003. Such a collaboration enables Telrad Connegy to demonstrate the UNITe ability to keep all the rich feature set the UNITe has to offer over IP networking, putting Telrad Connegy system in line with the advanced IP PBX in the market" said David Nitzan, Marketing Director Telrad Connegy.

"We are proud to be the first provider of a single chip solution for connecting a Telrad Connegy E1/T1 telephony switch over a Metro Ethernet Network. The simplicity and cost-effectiveness of the setup proves how quickly enterprise telephony equipment can be ported for use with low cost Ethernet and IP services now being offered worldwide", states Daniel Bar-Lev, VP Sales and Marketing at Redux. He adds, "We believe that the RS-160 will provide a strong addition to the current offerings of Ethernet/IP telephony solutions for enterprises."
