SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Quellan Incorporated, the creator of the award winning "Nx600" WideBand Noise Canceller, today announced the close of $5.5M in private venture funding. Funding was provided by Cordova Intellimedia Ventures, ITU Ventures, The University Financing Foundation, Steve Chaddick, and the Yamacraw Seed Capital. The funding gives Quellan, a leader in complex Analog Noise Canceling Chips, capital to expand its position in the Enterprise, Telecom, Storage and Wireless markets where wideband noise is becoming increasingly critical.

Density and power are driving the need for higher speed interconnects -- while economics are demanding the infrastructure remains intact. Quellan's Collaborative Signal Processing (CSP) allows OEMs to achieve both goals -- at up to a 400% bandwidth improvement -- without changing the Chassis or Line Cards. Quellan has been a technology innovator in this space since it's first product announcement in October 2003.

"We are pleased to close this financing," said Tony Stelliga, CEO and Chairman of Quellan. "These funds will be used to expand operations, scale production and enter new markets with our award winning analog products."
