JESSUP, Md. -- Quantum Photonics, Inc., (www.quantumphotonics.com) , a developer and producer of optoelectronic components, modules and sub-systems for telecommunications and data communications applications, announced today it has completed its second round of funding, totaling U.S. $27.6 million. The Company's new investors include Boulder Ventures, Core Capital Partners, Davenport Capital Ventures, Draper Atlantic, EDB Investments, Intersouth Partners, Kinetic Ventures, and Riggs Capital Partners. The Series B financing also was subscribed to by the previous round investors, Optical Capital Group and The Grosvenor Funds. William Heflin of Kinetic Ventures, Andrew Jones of Boulder Ventures, Don Rainey of Intersouth Partners, and Jonathan Silver of Core Capital Partners join the existing Board of Directors comprised of Stephanie Rogers of Optical Capital Group, Bruce Dunnan of The Grosvenor Funds, and Dan Petrescu and Mario Dagenais of Quantum Photonics. "This funding enables the company to bring its superior amplification technology to market," said Stephanie Rogers, Vice President, Private Equity, at Optical Capital Group.
