Polatis Appoints New CEO

Polatis names Dave Lewis as chief executive officer; interim CEO/chairman Gary Vanstone will continue as chairman

CAMBRIDGE, U.K. -- Polatis, the Cambridge (UK) based company developing optical switch modules for telecommunications equipment manufacturers, today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Dave Lewis as Chief Executive Officer. Gary Vanstone, who has acted as interim CEO and Chairman, will continue as Company Chairman.“I am very pleased to join Polatis and look forward to working with the highly talented team,” said Mr. Lewis. “Polatis has strong financial backing and has developed a unique core technology that can be exploited in a number of applications, the first of which will be a very low loss optical switch.”Dave Lewis joins Polatis with over 20 years experience in the telecommunications industry. He was previously the Executive Vice President & General Manager of the Optical Networks Business Unit at Marconi, where he was responsible for SDH, DWDM and associated Network Management products. Prior to this, Dave held a number of senior roles within Marconi, including Managing Director Optical Networks, Managing Director Access & Transport Networks and Network Systems Group Engineering Director.Polatis Ltd.
